Job Title
Low-Frequency Electromagnetics Application Engineer
- Full-time, Remote residing within the continental United States or Canada
Electrical Engineer will prepare physics-based simulations using Ansys low-frequency electromagnetics software tools. Daily activities include operating Ansys software to provide technical support to customers, creating demonstrations for customer engagement, and performing simulations for consulting projects.
Candidates with any level of experience are encouraged to apply, from new graduates to experienced professionals.
Compensation
- Dependent on experience.
- $70,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced-level technical support to customers during business hours
- Execute engineering consulting projects to return high-confidence results in a timely manner
- Present highly technical information to clients and public conferences
- Teach training classes for Ansys electromagnetics software
- Pass Ansys certifications to confirm and improve industry knowledge
Qualifications
- Minimum MSEE, or equivalently BSEE with 2+ years of experience
- Familiarity with electrical engineering simulation tools such as Ansys Maxwell
- Experience with simulation of low-frequency electromagnetic applications such as power electronics, electric motors, transformers, power converters, actuators, induction heating, wireless charging, and sensors
- Ability to quickly learn new engineering skills, concepts, and software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly organized, self-driven with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Have a passion for engineering and physics-based simulation
- Training will be provided and expected as part of job requirement
- Must demonstrate rapid learning and developing competencies
Preferred Experience
- Ansys software tools such as Maxwell, Motor-CAD, Simplorer, and Q3D Extractor
- Familiarity with electric motors, power electronics, and/or EMI/EMC
